| Chapman Williams |
| High School: Riverheads High School; Greenville, VA College: Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Bachelor of Science- Horticulture Professional Credentials: ISA Certified Arborist (MA-4388A) 2010 got kicked off in a big way with Chapman's marriage to Kasey McGovern this January. They are looking forward to escaping away throughout the summer to the family lake home at Smith Mountain Lake. |
While still in high school Joseph and Chapman, the owners of Williams Brothers, began
accumulating yards to mow. Their list was long by the time they graduated from Riverheads
High School, but they needed to go to college if they were going to take their business to the
next level. So off they went each in their own direction. But, so as not to leave their customers in
the lurch, they hired help to be sure they could continue meeting the customers' needs. After
college they had a whole new set of skills and information and they expanded the business
once again, adding more employees and a host of new services. Today they continue to grow,
adding services and educating themselves and their staff. Services are based on the current
industry standards and practices...It's part of what sets Williams Brothers apart from the others.

Meet the rest of the staff!
Humble beginnings
Stephanie is a Pennsylvania transplant. She is a VNLA Certified
Horticulturist. She has her B.S. in GeoEnvirionmental Studies from
Shippensburg University. Stephanie works on landscaping projects-
from their design to installation to maintenance. Other times, she
assists with the marketing and advertising components of the
business. Prior to coming to work with the Williams Brothers in the
spring of 2007, she worked as Horticultural Assistant for the City of
Waynesboro where she first met the brothers doing City tree work.
When not working, Stephanie spends her time planning and going on
short trips, camping, and hiking.

Papa Joe Williams, Turf Specialist
Stephanie Seltzer, Project Coordinator
| “Papa Joe”, to distinguish him from his son Joseph(often thought of as Joe), works for his sons during the “green season” managing the turf fertilization/weed control programs. Holding Biology and Chemistry degrees he is exceptionally qualified and knowledgeable about the chemicals used and how to properly mix and apply them. He has been using this knowledge for the past 6 years with the Williams Brothers to manage turf and solve related problems He is State Licensed and Certified for pesticide application. In his spare time, he operates a small beef cattle herd. And as a concerned conservationist and environmentalist, he gets away at least once a year to fly fish for Salmon, Steelhead, and Browns along the tributaries of Lake Ontario. |
